Für beide Qualitäten wurden jeweils Fässer von nur zwei Brennereien verwendet – man könnte also auch von Double Malts sprechen. Diese Fässer sind schon seit ihrem Befüllen im Besitz der Familie, daher kann auch von einer echten „Familiensammlung“ die Rede sein.
Vanilla Burst
Für „Vanilla Burst“ wurden 15 Fresh Bourbon Barrel von zwei bei Blendern beliebten Speyside Destillen ausgesucht. Das Aromenprofil zeigt viel Vanille untermalt mit floralen Noten und Gewürzen.

Original Tasting Notes:
- Nose: bonbons and pineapple syrup alongside creamy vanilla and buttery shortbread notes.
- Taste: An initial burst of vanilla like a luxury creme anglaise spiced with saffron and ginger. Juicy oak notes from the 1st fill bourbon barrels have moulded the Speyside malts into juicy stone fruit sweetness, white chocolate, toasted almonds and toffee.
- Finish: A lengthy finish of toffee and hazelnut with hints of spicy oak and lingering vanilla.
Treacle Chest
„Treacle Chest“ wurde komponiert aus 14 first-fill Oloroso Sherry Hogsheads zweier renomierter Highland Brennereien. Hier dominieren süßer Sirup, intensive rote Früchte und sanfte Holznoten.

Original Tasting Notes:
- Nose: Rich treacle sweetness with deep fruit, notes of dates, blackcurrant and figs. Deep aromatic wood notes like an old wooden chest made from antique mahogany or chestnut.
- Taste: Chewy and rich sherry notes intermingle with the meaty and malty wave of intense flavours provided by the Highland malts. Sherry soaked Christmas cake and ginger biscuits sit alongside leathery notes and bitter chocolate.
- Finish: The wood makes its presence known leaving bittering caraway flavour, pipe tobacco and mild spice.
